Andyn Kadir

With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, including overseas coaching stints in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia, Coach Andyn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to any team, having trained under and alongside international as well as local coaches and athletes.

A professional kettlebell lifter with experience in many international competitions, Andyn is one of the pioneer and most sought-after kettlebell coaches in Singapore. His students have progressed from enthusiasts to becoming recognised trainers and lifters themselves. Andyn has also trained under world-renowned strength coach, Mark Rippetoe, creator of the most-practised strength programme, Starting Strength.

Andyn has a wealth of experience in coaching strength and conditioning to professional soccer, softball and netball teams, tennis players and martial artistes of various disciplines. He has played an important role in preparing these athletes to enter their season and matches. His philosophy as a trainer/coach is to be able to help clients achieve a better quality of life by educating them and guiding them to break away from conventional thoughts about fitness. As articulated by Scott Sonnon, “Strength without mobility is expressionless. Mobility without strength is powerless.” His programmes are therefore based on incorporating both in order to obtain a high level of athleticism.

His training philosophy is to keep everything simple and always remember the basics: “We don’t have to complicate things. Keeping it simple does not mean that we cannot progress; it is a key for us to progress efficiently without compromising results and the quality of our workout. In that way, our training will be more enjoyable and it keeps the flow going. In other words, consistency is the key! Our aim is to make it part of our lifestyle and not something that we do when we need to look good for a certain period of time or for a certain event because in that way, we are putting ourselves and our body at risk. Therefore, train hard and train smart!”
