  • Daphne Maia Loo / Strength & Nutrition Coach

Daphne began her fitness career as a powerlifting athlete, a sport that she stumbled into accidentally, while recovering from a period of extreme dieting, and weight loss.

Within two years, Daphne became a multiple gold and silver medallist powerlifter in the Women’s Under 57kg category in Singapore. With multiple powerlifting meets and national records under her belt since December 2014, she has also competed in the Asia Oceania Powerlifting Championships, where she achieved a silver medal amongst many strong female lifters in the region.

After a year of mentoring a team of female powerlifting athletes with Coach Andyn, and assisting him during strength classes, Daphne got certified as a personal trainer.

She also works with clients as a Nutrition Coach, helping them improve their relationship with food, while learning how to eat sustainably, improve their nutritional intake and awareness of food, and make better choices, while achieving their fitness and aesthetic goals. In the sport nutrition front, Daphne helps athletes improve their performance through better nutrition, and in weight cuts for competitions.

Daphne finds that her greatest motivation in training others comes from improving their lifts, not simply in terms of numbers, but also in their technique. Her special interest lies in helping women overcome their fear of the weights room.

Daphne is also a Powerlifting Coach to a team of female athletes.

Pen Muhaimin / Strength & Conditioning Coach

Pen has been active in sports since his youth, during which he swam, played for a local football club, and also competed in track and field during his schooling years.

In 2002, he was introduced to Muay Thai as a form of self-defense, and he was hooked. A year later, Pen started competing regularly in local tournaments, and in 2007, he represented Singapore, in a tournament in Bangkok, where he fought against many other fighters from around the globe. Since then Pen has had ten professional fights in both Singapore and Thailand.

Eventually, Pen decided to hang up his boxing gloves in 2012 and pursue a career in coaching. Coaching Muay Thai has also led him to pursue further education in understanding fitness and training.

Today, he is a certified personal trainer with experience in Muay Thai, boxing, functional training, as well as strength and conditioning. He is also an active Girevoy Sport athlete and coach.
